How We Use Information

Voice Transcription
When you use voice journaling, your audio is sent to a third-party transcription provider outside FD's own infrastructure to convert speech into text. You can review and edit the transcript before saving it. You can also type your journal without using voice transcription.
Data Storage
User data and uploaded content may be stored using verified third-party cloud infrastructure and storage providers that support secure access, reliability, and account functionality. Access to user-owned data is restricted using authentication and row-level security policies. Previously saved account records remain covered by this policy and can be included in deletion requests.
Uploaded Images and Screenshots
Fractyl Discipline allows users to upload trade screenshots and puzzle images as part of the app experience. These uploads are intended only for trade journaling and personal puzzle use.
Users are responsible for reviewing images before uploading them. Please avoid uploading images that contain sensitive personal information, account numbers, passwords, identification details, financial information, private documents, confidential trading information, or content involving other people without their permission.
Uploaded images are stored securely and are private to the user’s account. Fractyl Discipline does not routinely review uploaded images. We may access uploaded files only when necessary to provide support, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain security, enforce our terms, or comply with legal obligations.
By uploading an image, users confirm that the image is appropriate for the intended feature and that they are comfortable storing it within their Fractyl Discipline account.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Fractyl Discipline uses essential cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the platform. These include cookies required for login sessions, account authentication, dashboard access, security, fraud prevention, password reset flows, and payment processing.
We may use optional analytics and error monitoring tools to understand basic site usage, identify technical issues, and improve reliability. Where required, these optional tools are only enabled based on your cookie preferences.
Fractyl Discipline does not use cookies to store passwords, payment details, trade journal content, screenshots, or private API keys.
Some verified third-party service providers may use cookies or similar technologies as part of their services. These may support authentication, payments, security, analytics, error monitoring, and overall platform reliability.
Optional Article Analytics and Feedback
With Analytics enabled in your cookie preferences, we measure article visits, reading activity and link clicks to improve our writing. A browser identifier helps estimate returning readers. You can turn this tracking off in Cookie Preferences.
You may optionally submit a usefulness rating and comment. Detailed activity and feedback are available to authorised FD administrators. Please leave private account and trading details out of comments.
Detailed visits and comments are scheduled for deletion after 90 days; summary totals may be kept longer. We do not record keystrokes or replay your screen. Security measures may process technical information to prevent abuse.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use service providers for website hosting, account authentication, email delivery, database and image storage, security, optional analytics and error monitoring. A third-party transcription provider processes recordings when you use voice journaling. Payment service providers handle billing records for accounts with an existing billing history.
Providers receive the information needed to deliver these services. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect the security of the service.
User Responsibility
Users should not upload sensitive personal information that is not needed for the dashboard. Users are responsible for the accuracy of information they enter into their journal, rules, and reflections.
Security
We use authentication, protected routes, and database access policies to help protect user data. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.
Data Deletion
You can delete journal entries using the journal controls. Contact support to request deletion of your account or other saved data, including reflections, transcripts, screenshots, custom journal details, balance settings and puzzle content.
Account data is retained as needed to provide the service, unless deleted or subject to a deletion request. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security or operational reasons. Deletion requests can also cover records saved under earlier versions of FD.
